Fun on the Tchefuncte

One mile pushing Raegan in stroller 10.43. And 5k in 30.23. It was a challenge pushing that stroller but i knew I wasn't a stroller mama runner. But my princess wanted to participate. It was super foggy and I never really knew I was running by a lake some of the way. Bradley ran his mile in 8.43-almost making it to 2nd place for a very broad age group but 20 seconds shy. He started too fast and finished slower but he is still such a speedboy. Great family fun day.

Resolution Race 2013

This race moved to the sticks this year. I was more than 20 minutes late but made a PR. I came in 2nd place. 5 miles 52.25 hybrid course. It was at The Plantation Covington. It was my second time running his race and enjoyed the scenery. There was an incline and even though I started late, I completed the five in record time. I loved that the race went to charity-Mary Perkins-a charity close to my heart.

Newton Virtual Run 5k 12/23/12 Never Forgotten

This was a virtual run that one of my running groups CCRG put together. This tragedy was senseless and really struck me to the core. Not only did it affect me as a teacher, but as a mother and lover of children. I pray for those families who lost children in this tragedy. I am happy to have clothes to fold for my children and happy that I have a mess to clean up from them as well. I bet those Newton parents would do anything to have that chance.
